Sivacrypticus is a genus of the family Archeocrypticidae (cryptic fungus beetles). Archaecrypticidae is a small family of Tenebrionoidea, recent papers revealed it as sister to Ulodidae, to Ulodidae + Chalcodruidae + Promecheidae, or sister to Anthicidae + Ischaliidae + Meloiidae.
Occurrence in Taiwanese leaf litter fauna
Only a single genus Sivacrypticus and a single species S. taiwanus Kaszab, 1964 is recorded from Taiwan. The species is locally common in lowland forests in southern and central Taiwan.
